Help
How the control plane is meant to be used.
- Operating state
- How we work across every project. Shared rules, current direction, and what happened recently.
- Project state
- Memory for one project. The actual work lives here, not in chat history.
- Goal
- What we’re trying to do right now.
- Invariants
- Hard rules. Don’t break these.
- Decisions
- Choices already made. Don’t reopen them unless there’s an override.
- Open
- Unfinished items still on the table.
- Delta
- What changed since the last check-in.
- Override
- A hard stop and new direction. Use this instead of quietly changing course.
- Activity
- A short log of what happened in the CLI, chat, or this UI. Newest first.
- Notes
- Freeform comments. Useful, but less important than activity.
- Inbox
- Commands for workers. Ack or done from here. A project inbox lives on that project. A worker inbox is mail addressed to that worker. Operating only shows unscoped mail.
- Agents
- Named workers. Each has its own key. Green means seen in the last 10 minutes — not a live socket.
- Focus
- What we are on right now: current project plus an optional session/conversation URL. Not chat memory.
- Local tools
- On Jesse’s machine: tools/mars.ps1 (heartbeat, inbox, activity, focus, watch). Keys stay in %USERPROFILE%\.mars\ — never on EC2 as a daemon.
Across stores
Pending inbox
Everything waiting, operating and projects. Ack or done here. Compose still lives on the store or worker it belongs to.
Registry
Workers
Who exists, who is active, and what they last said. Presence is last check-in, not a daemon.
